There are a large number of medications available to treat arthritis. Some medications relive the symptoms (paracetamol, anti-inflammatory drugs like voltaren), prednisone tablets or injections. Other medications aim to turn off the process causing the symptoms. These include tablets like methotrexate and injections such as Humira or Enbrel.
